This document guides customers on how to connect Stripe to their white-label portal to begin accepting payments. The process is fully self-serve.
Step 1
From your Ackroo Anywhere dashboard, navigate to eGift → User Portals page.
Step 2
Modify the e-gift portal where you wish to integrate Stripe as a payment option. If you manage multiple e-gift portals, please note that each one must be linked to Stripe separately. However, you can connect all of them to the same Stripe account for convenience.
Stripe can only be linked to a portal that is currently in Active status.
Step 3
From the edit portal page that opens, access the ‘Stripe Connect’ tab and select your business location(United States or Canada). Next, click on the 'Connect' button to initiate the onboarding process with Stripe.
Upon clicking 'Connect', you will be taken to Stripe’s onboarding form. Please be aware that you will be on a Stripe-managed page during this process, not within the Ackroo platform.
After completing all required fields in the form, you will be automatically redirected back to this page in Ackroo.
This is the step where you’ll create a new Stripe account if you don’t already have one. After you choose the Location and hit connect, you will be asked to enter your email address in the next page. Entering your email address, Stripe will either prompt you to log in (if an account exists under that email) or guide you to set a password to create a new account.
You’ll use this email and password to access your Stripe dashboard in the future.
Step 4
Upon submitting the onboarding form, Stripe will either activate your account immediately or request additional information if necessary to finalize the onboarding process.

Step 5
If your onboarding process is incomplete, you will see a 'Finish Onboarding' button on this page. Clicking this button will direct you to your Stripe account, where you can review the details regarding any missing information.
Once you have fulfilled Stripe's requirements, this page will automatically refresh to reflect your updated status.
Step 6
Once onboarding is successfully completed and active, your customers can purchase e-gift cards through Stripe. Below is what your customers will see when they go to complete the purchase.
The new Pay Now button is powered by stripe and clicking that will take the user to a simple checkout screen.

Once Paid, card buyer will be automatically navigated back to Ackroo which will show the details of the purchase.

What is the stripe pricing?
Stripe's standard fee is 2.9% + C$0.30 per transaction for domestic cards.
I already have a stripe account. Can I use it here?
The initial step in the Stripe onboarding process involves entering the business's email address. If this email is already linked to an existing Stripe standard account, you will be prompted to enter your password to continue using that account.
If the email address is not associated with any existing Stripe account, you will need to create a password to move forward with the registration process.
This email and password combination can be used for future logins to manage your Stripe account effectively.
Does Stripe have 3DS2 security?
Stripe provides 3DS2 security for payments.
What is the payout schedule with Stripe?
Ackroo does not control your payout schedule. It is setup to pay daily by default and you can change it from your Stripe dashboard settings page.

You receive funds when Stripe (or your platform) makes payouts to your bank account. Payout availability varies depending on your industry and country of operation. When you start processing live payments, Stripe typically schedules your initial payout for 7-14 days after you successfully receive your first payment. Your first payout might take longer, depending on your industry risk level and country of operation. Subsequent payouts follow your account’s payout schedule.
I am not getting money(payouts) to my bank account. What is wrong?
If you are experiencing delays in receiving payouts after previously receiving them without issue, it is possible that Stripe has temporarily suspended your payouts due to incomplete verification or the need for additional information.
To address this, you can access your Stripe dashboard either by visiting https://dashboard.stripe.com/ directly or by navigating to the Stripe Connect tab within the edit eGift portal, as described in Step 3 above.
Once you are in the Stripe dashboard, you will be able to see the reason for the suspension of your payouts. By fulfilling any requirements that Stripe has outlined, your payouts should resume shortly thereafter.

How do I refund a customer's e-gift purchase?
To initiate a refund for a customer's e-gift purchase, begin by unissuing the balance on the gift card within the Ackroo platform, as this is a necessary step.
Next, navigate to your Stripe dashboard, locate the specific transaction you wish to refund, and open it to view the detailed information.
Click Refund at the top right to open a pop-up window.
Choose the amount to refund, a reason and click Refund to complete the process.
