Setting Up a PayPal Merchant Account for Use With eGift

Before you can start accepting payment for eGift cards purchased using your eGift portal, you need to set up a payment processor to handle your transactions.

This guide will show you how to set up a PayPal merchant account. You can access PayPal for Business by going to this link for US customers , and this link for Canadian customers

Ackroo eGift - Setting Up a PayPal Standard Business Account

Ackroo eGift service is integrated with PayPal, so you can receive funds direct-deposited to your business account with each online gift card purchase.

  1. Go to PayPal For Business and Get Started/Sign Up for a "Standard" business account
    ($0/month) using your Business Information
  2. Skip to the "Account Setup" tab and complete each section. (NOTE: You do not have to complete any information on the "Payment Setup" tab):
    1. Confirm your email address
    2. Add banking information (to receive funds transmitted by PayPal)
    3. Confirm your business Name for purchase receipts to customers
    4. (Optional) Setting withdrawal limits

3. Provide Ackroo with the email address registered to your PayPal account.
